Top-notch Customer Care Formerly known as Alfresco Wood Fired Pizza Ovens, the business was started by father and son Geoff and Trent Chilman and Trent’s wife Jonelle Lowe in 2003. The trio spent two years developing ideas, researching designs, and building wood fired pizza ovens until they created a product ready for market – literally.
Their first wood fired pizza oven was sold from the back of a truck at the Chidlow Farmer’s Market in 2005.
Demand soon outgrew their backyard shed. In 2007, Geoff, Trent, and Jonelle moved the
business to a factory on the outskirts of Perth’s northern suburbs.
After a ten-year journey that included Geoff’s retirement, raising a family, continuous sales fuelled by an excellent word-of-mouth reputation, and a new range of wood fired ovens, Trent and Jonelle rebranded as The Alfresco Factory in 2017. They moved to a dedicated factory and showroom in the revitalised Neerabup Industrial area.
Trent and Jonelle are committed to delivering what they promise. And their sales back this up – more than 7000 high-quality wood fired ovens handcrafted by The Alfresco Factory team have been installed in backyards Australia-wide since 2005.
The wood fired pizza ovens you see in our showroom today are Trent’s original design. Their functionality has stood the test of time, and customers love their look and ease of use. Our manufacturing processes have become more streamlined over the years. However, all ovens are still handcrafted and made to the highest standards.
We use local suppliers for sands, flues, and doors and we source other refractory products directly to ensure quality control and adequate supply. We design our moulds to give The Alfresco Factory wood fired pizza ovens the perfect shape for cooking your family feast at ideal temperatures.
