Does my wood fired oven need to be cured?

Does my wood fired oven need to be cured?

Does my wood fired oven need to be cured?

Yes. All brick and refractory cement ovens must be burnt in. All ovens hold moisture in the cement after manufacture which has to be expelled by ‘burning in’ the oven in order that the refractory cement can be fully cured and therefore less prone to cracking. The curing process is very simple and takes about 12-16 hours. Curing instructions are provided with all Alfresco Factory wood fired ovens.
