Made in Western Australia since 2003
Australian-made pizza ovens, backed by more than 20 years of hands-on experience and expertise from Trent and Jonelle at The Alfresco Factory.
There’s a common misconception that wood-fired ovens manufactured overseas are automatically superior because traditional European wood-fired ovens have been part of European culture for centuries. While many imported ovens are undoubtedly well made, they aren’t always designed for Australian conditions or the Australian way of outdoor living.
For many years now, Australian manufacturers have developed extensive knowledge and expertise in designing wood-fired ovens specifically for our climate, cooking styles, and lifestyle. Rather than simply replicating traditional European designs, they’ve refined and improved them to better suit Australian backyards and entertaining spaces.
At The Alfresco Factory, we’ve been manufacturing and retailing premium refractory cast wood-fired ovens since 2003, when we began as Alfresco Wood Fired Ovens. Throughout that time, we’ve continually researched and refined our products, selecting materials that perform exceptionally well in Australian conditions while developing practical, durable designs that meet the needs of Australian families.
While traditional clay and brick ovens have certainly proven themselves over time, significant advances in refractory technology have transformed modern oven construction. Today’s high-quality refractory materials, used by leading Australian manufacturers, can offer superior durability, heat retention, thermal performance, and longevity compared to many traditional clay and brick designs commonly found in imported ovens.

Five reasons to choose local
01
Australian-made ovens are built to withstand our unique climate, from scorching summers to cooler winters, while complementing the way Australians enjoy outdoor cooking and entertaining.
02
Buying locally manufactured products eliminates many of the costs associated with importing overseas products, allowing you to invest in quality rather than freight, duties, and unnecessary mark-ups.
03
Perhaps the greatest advantage of buying directly from an Australian manufacturer is knowing that expert support is only a phone call away.
At The Alfresco Factory, we’re here to help before, during, and long after your purchase. If you’re building one of our DIY oven kits, you’ll have direct access to Trent and Jonelle, the owners of the business since its inception, who provide phone support seven days a week to answer questions and help you through every stage of your installation.
04
When you purchase from The Alfresco Factory, you know exactly where your oven has been made and who has made it. There’s no dealing with overseas suppliers or third-party distributors—just direct access to the people who design and manufacture your oven.
05
Choosing Australian-made means supporting local jobs, Australian businesses, and our manufacturing industry. It’s an investment in Australian craftsmanship and helps keep skilled manufacturing alive for future generations.

Real people. Real expertise.
Your oven isn’t passed through a chain of anonymous distributors. The same local team that knows how it is designed and made is here to help you choose, build, fire and enjoy it.
That continuity matters—especially when you’re installing a DIY kit or planning an outdoor entertaining area that should last for years.
